I have a magnavox TV how do I change it from Direct TV to Netflix.

If your TV is "Smart TV", then you should read the manual how to switch to "apps", and choose "Netflix" from there.
If not, you should get a streamer (eg Roku, Amazon) supporting Netflix.

You should also check with DirectTV - a lot of cable / satellite boxes these days support "Apps" as well, so it might be just a question of providing Internet access to your box.
