I have a question

I'm looking to buy a new laptop, but I'm gonna need some advice about what I should buy. I'm going to use the laptop mostly for gaming, and for school. So all that I'm looking for is more frames per second.

I've been looking at the GT 630m and the GT 650m. The one with the 650m, had a 1920x1080p screen, and the 630m a 1366x768 screen, both are 15,6". I was wondering how much difference in fps they would have both on their native resolution and the same settings. Also, if I put the 1920x1080 screen on a 1366x768 resolution while gaming, would I notice any difference between the native 1366x768 screen, and the 1920x1080 since they're both the same size. And, do I notice much difference between an i7 3630QM, an i5 3210m, and a i5 3320m with gaming?

From what I have understood is that X40m and lower is more for multimedia quality and X50m and higher is for gaming quality.

On the exact same resolution and settings, the 650m will be 30-60% faster than the 630m.

On native resolutions, they will get comparable performance if the 650m is on higher graphical settings. Example:
Dead Space 3 - 1366x768 - high - 630m
will be about equal to
Dead Space 3 - 1920x1080 - ultra - 650m

Also, 1920x1080 resolution will look a lot better than 1366x768. The 650m is a big improvement. The 630m will give you playable framerates on low settings, but the 650m will be good for medium - high.

The difference between those two processors won't be a big one, but the i7 will come out on top. The i5 will give you slightly better battery life. But generally, for gaming, you won't know the difference.

Yeah, I still have one question which I asked in my first post, maybe you didn't read it but it's not that clear now that I read back on it. Anyway,

If I run a game on a 1366x768 resolution on a 1920x1080 monitor, will I notice a difference between quality on a 1366x768 monitor running that resolution?

Oops, I forgot to add that in my reply. It depends on the size of the screen. I bet the 1920x1080 screen is bigger, meaning the 1366x768 resolution on that monitor will look somewhat stretched.

So yes, you will get best results using native resolutions.

Well I'm just all kinds of negligent today lol.

Since they are the same size, the image should look nearly identical if the resolution is set the same. Nonetheless, the 1920x1080 one will have higher pixel density if set to the native resolution, meaning crisper image quality.
