6 years old don't help much, need to know the exact spec.
But usually a no. sell it and get a gaming laptop.

That's a tough question without knowing more about the notebook.And it depends on what type of games you're trying to play.As a rule the answer is no.A real gaming notebook will cost a lot.And upgrading a notebook is limitet to upgrading memory and going to an ssd hard drive. No option for upgrading the video, the major restriction on notebooks.
For the cost of a fairly good laptop you can build a really good gaming desktop computer.
