I have an lg tv and a pioneer home theater..problem connecting it

I connected it using rca cables and it just dont work i just hear a long "shhhhhhhhhhhhhh" any help?

Can you post model numbers of both the TV and the HT?
What you want to achieve with that connection?

Most TVs don't have analog RCA audio outputs so you may have to connected to an input. Optical is the most common audio output on TVs. If you HTS doesn't have optical you will need one of these
