I have very few storage ! What should I do ?

Hello,

I just bought a new gaming laptop yesterday. I believe it is the GL62-7RD from MSI. It comes with a 7th generation Core i5, 8 GB of DDR4 memory, a GTX 1050 and finally, a 256 GB SSD.

The PC works just fine, but it is kind of limited in terms of storage space. I just opened it and what I have is a bit under 90 GB of free space with no softwares installed.

What are my options if I want to make the most of my storage space ? What would you do ??

Well I would find out what is taking up so much space on your drive, it is probably loaded with bloatware from what I have seen with msi laptops, this will hurt performance and battery life while taking up hard drive and RAM resources. Windows certainly does not use 166gb alone. I would personally do a clean install of windows immediately after buying a laptop like that.
