Solved! I just got gifted a recently old Gateway laptop.

The model number is :W323-Ul1 I just started charging it..& I have no idea how to turn it on..or work it at all..The battery light shows that it's charging but it doesn't come on. Please help

I believe it is on the top right of the keyboard near where it connects to the display.

Depends. There are a few versions. However, wherever it is, it will likely have the lovely icon/symbol for power.
