I know my Dell computer's BIOS password; also refered to as the 'set up' password. However, when my computer does the task of

unlike most people I actually know and possess the BIOS (Administrator) password. But that didn't prevent me from being asked for the password for a Dell update and guess what? The password doesn't work.

If you know the password then simply remove it, update, reapply the password. Other than that we can't assist with password issues here.
