Question I need a divorce, a phone divorce, an android divorce

Rest assured, this is a phone problem, not a marital one. And I have searched some, but apparently not with the right keywords. While I'm pretty strong on PCs, I'm weak on phones, not terrible, but weak. However much stronger than my wife, so I do the purchasing and set up etc.

Several years ago I got her a Moto to replace an iphone 4, or was it a 5 or 6? Yeah, several years. Anyway I set it up, all was fine. Few years later I got a pixel myself to replace a not quite as old iphone. Used the same login/contact info. Big mistake, I get her notifications and "memories" (gawd I hate that crap) her calendar etc. It's not a privacy thing, it's just convenience. How do I separate them, keeping in mind I'd be absolute dead meat if I screwed up her calendar or pictures.

Just change the account your phone uses (don't touch hers) to a new Google account. We are talking two separate phones here, right?
