Question Is the Huawei P30 Pro still a good phone?

Thinking of getting the wife a Google Pixel 6a for Christmas.

She has a Huey Luey P30 Pro - the last one with Google apps. It's their top line phone from that era and is okay but I do notice the camera seems to be lacking in quality compared with my Samsung S21U.

I did a quick comparison and it seems there isn't a huge amount of difference in terms of photo sensor or perhaps quality?

Not too bothered the Android version is out of date particularly.

£450 odd is quite a lot to spend for not much difference but I'm thinking it'll sort her out for a good few years.

I still have my Huawei P30 and purchased it around late 2018. Camera quality still holds and relatively good, and performance is still solid and it's worthy of being Huawei's flagship model. But of course you can't compare the quality over to latest brands of phones like the latest Samsung phones. It is one of the last Huawei models to have built-in Google applications. The OS update stops around ver.12, so you have to consider that in a few more years, the latest apps won't support ver. 12.
