I need a laptop for university

I'm looking for a laptop with a good battery life and build quality. My budget is 1000$ and I'm not a gamer so I don't need powerful specs.

Try this out It's lightweight (4.4lbs) and it has great internal specs for the price! It advertises an up to 8 hour battery, which should be possible given what you choose to do on your laptop.

Are acer laptops reliable though? I heard they tend to overheat and crash often?

There might be instances of this, but I'm not too familiar with the issue. I use an Acer at home and my friend has one as well. It works wonderfully and it's very reliable (from my own experience)

Do you have other suggestions? I just checked the popular stores in my region and they only had the V5 version of that laptop..

I think the V5's should be fine!

This laptop is nice and ultra-thin, but I'm not to sure about the battery life. It should average the same as the one I suggested above!
