I need help choosing a headset

I need a mic that can pick up my ukulele. I current astro A40's don't pick up my ukulele when I play it and I would like a headset that can. I understand that a standalone mic would be higher quality and my best bet, however, I would still much prefer a headset because I don't have much room on my desk and I don't want to deal with a boom arm.

Can’t you adjust the mic sensitivity via Sounds so it picks it up?

I've tried but it just ends up creating a lot of static and still not picking it up.
