I need help with laptop

I have an Asus G750JW with all factory parts. I'm planning on buying more ram for it to total to 24gb of ram. I was wondering if buying a SSD like a Samsung 850 EVO would be worth the purchase. Would my laptop run a lot faster with all these additions?

Well the upgrade of RAM should work fine as long as you get the right kind (not all RAM is the same) and your device should be upgradable to up to 32GB, should you wish to go that high.

As to the SSD I do think it would work, but there may be overheating.

Overheating in SATA SSDs is pretty much nonexistent, and nvme SSDs only overheat after writing hundreds of gigabytes at a time, you will be fine. An 850 EVO is definitely worth it.
