I put a CD in my laptop, and I can only hear the sound, not actually see it?

what media player are you using?

Another good program is Musicbee: https/getmusicbee.com/

After installing, you may need to ASSOCIATE the program with CD's for it to launch, but take it one step at a time. (You can also RIP files from CD to your computer, but there's a small learning curve there but instructions are at site. For example, there's a link to get the MP3 encoder.. )

The problem is must be on your video apps. You could try VLC and media player classic that support for many kinds of video format.

To clarify, by "CD" you mean AUDIO CD or are you talking about DVD movies?

If it's to watch movies, then VLC is okay though I prefer to use K-Lite Standard (using the player MPC-HC which is included and you can set as DEFAULT when launching).
