Another good program is Musicbee: https/getmusicbee.com/
After installing, you may need to ASSOCIATE the program with CD's for it to launch, but take it one step at a time. (You can also RIP files from CD to your computer, but there's a small learning curve there but instructions are at site. For example, there's a link to get the MP3 encoder.. )
To clarify, by "CD" you mean AUDIO CD or are you talking about DVD movies?
If it's to watch movies, then VLC is okay though I prefer to use K-Lite Standard (using the player MPC-HC which is included and you can set as DEFAULT when launching).
