I tried this hidden desktop mode on my Pixel 9 Pro XL — Google needs to bring this to all Android phones

HelloTitan,

I came across your article and thank sharing this. I have a Pixel 8 Pro and I managed to enable this. How did you manage to mirror the deviceto the monitor?

Also, will this work on a Windows 11 Pro machine?

Deja vu ... How is this fundamentally different from Motorola's Webtop that was introduced in 2011 on the Atrix and then eliminated? I had a droid razr and the neat combo keyboard-monitor-battery "laptop" dock for it, and it honestly worked really well. The HDMI output of the razr was the key, and it worked well. I still have the cable that allowed the phone to be used to play video on a TV, but the phone is long gone.

I followed the steps suggested in John Velasco's great article. I wonder if the wifi setting could work or do I need to use the USB C to USB B 3-0 to initialize the connection to my PC monitor?
