I am installing a wired home theatre system (in ceiling speakers) in a new building but I would like the subwoofer to be wireless, other than the power cable. I've not bought any components yet. Is this possible and are there any issues I need to consider.

A conventional sub and a wireless conversion kit would be the best option. You will have the most flexibility. Most receivers have an RCA output for the SUB. Get something like this to make it wireless -- http
