Did you have a question? I'm not sure a $200+ amp is going to do anything for your xbox sound though, save make it louder.

i'm not sure you can use the odac portion with the xbox one. you can use the amplifier portion though. i believe the controller should have a port for you to connect to (would need a 4pole to 3pole x2 splitter) then to rca likely for amp input.

you could also hook up on the hdmi out if you ran an audio extractor or if you used composite/component you could use the analog audio out.

Plus it seriously helps Tom's to go through new and unanswered posts to try and figure out what people are even asking, tons of people don't even know how to ask, which is actually a big deal, so I followed up with a request for the question to be clarified.

He may have already re-asked his question clearly, like "how to use a DAC with xbox"
Where he would find that he needs an optical to analog converter because the xboxone won't output audio via USB.

he was asking how to connect not if it would work.

"should be cool" doesnt really help as it does not tell him how to connect.

"did you have a question" doesnt help as its obvious he does (how to connect it) and it only makes you sound flippant.

i do agree that the o2 amp is not really necessary for the hd598 as something cheaper would have been just as suitable but this is what he picked so we should just answer his question.

agreed, an optical audio extractor would also work.

My comment about the price was a bit crass, but... yeah, ah well i'll work on it!
