Solved! I want to Upgrade My sony Vaio all in one any suggestions

Can i upgrade my Sony Vaio i was reading on a sony forum that a guy managed to upgrade his chip from a 3 to an i5. I have built my own PC,s before but i have never upgraded a bog-standard system. I know the ins and outs kinda but it is easier when it is from scratch so can anything be done to this old beast

Upgrade RAM to 8 gb, replace the drive with a solid state.
For the CPU, the Core 2 Quad would be an improvement but you would need to check your specific motherboard and cooling setup to see if it will work.

For $200 you can replace it with a used Core i5 system and a 24" monitor which would probably be the best way to go.
