We’re actively starting our research in vr and 3d. This is a new pc we plan to buy for our lab (budget $3000).

Is this good enough for vr, 3d modeling and rendering? (eg. VUE, 3ds max, Maya, Unity)

That's good for VR and 3d however as said you could save some money by building your own.

If you're not satisfied with the amount of fans your case comes with then yes you gotta buy more unless you want an overheating PC.

What I mean is, most prebuilt systems come with a crappy case cooling wise, however cases from Corsair and such come with great amounts of expand-ability when it comes to cooling, from liquid to fan.

Don't know how much it was on ibuypower but here it is if you were to buy the parts and build it yourself.Wasn't sure what case was used. We can help you build one that might be a bit more balanced, as i can already see things that can be changed.
