I7 8750H + GTX 1070 or I7 7700HQ + GTX 1080

I´m looking for a new laptop and can not decide between these options. What is more efficient or faster for gaming?

For gaming, there's not going to be much difference between either CPU, whereas the 1080 is substantially better than the 1070.

So, the i7-7700HQ + 1080 would get my vote, based on the info provided.

What laptops, specifically? What kind of pricepoint? What are the rest of the specs?

i7-8750H + 1070 + 144HZ Gsync display, 16GB (or 32?) DDR4, 256GB SSD + 1TB HDD
i7-7700HQ + 1080 + 60 or 120Hz Gsync, 16GB DDR4, 256GB + 1TB

From what I can find, there are a few different variants.

At a glance though, the 1080 system is still a decent margin "better".... it's going to be a matter of specific configuration + Price.

It doesn't, really. AFAIK, there isn't any (or there's limited) laptops with 1070TI's in them. Performance-wise, it's in the same general ballpark as a MaxQ 1080.

In desktops, a 1070TI falls between a 1070 and 1080. Overclocked, it'll rival a stock 1080, but a 1080 can be overclocked itself, opening the gap back up.

It's a solid card and, depending on price may or may not make sense over a 1080.

Would 1070 Ti also make the videos look better like better resolution than 1070 ? also in 4K videos, would 1070 Ti make the movies look better than 1070 ?

No, a 1070 and 1070TI can driive the same resolutions, including 4K for video.
There's a static FPS for video, so the output would be identical between the cards.

If it was me I would most likely go with the 1070. This is why.... the i7 8750H is an 6 core 12 thread CPU where the 7700HQ is a 4 core 8 thread. Thanks to AMD the industry is sky rocking in core count and now even Intel has no choice but to release CPUs with higher core counts for mainstream. In desktops the core counts are now growing with every year. Intels 8700k comes in at 6 core 12 threads and it's new 9700k will carry 8 cores. With that all said you will start see more and more apps running higher core counts in there programming. The 1080 will run the games a little faster then the 1070 could. But If the developers start utilizing more threads into there programs then the CPU could be the bottle neck more then the GPU. Plus this GEN Asus does have a better anti dust cooler on it then the older ASUS laptops with the 7700HK. It is designed to blow the dust out to help it from building up. Because if temps raise to much it wouldn't matter if they could stick a Titan V into a laptop. That 1070 would crush it in performance
