What if you use an app like Vox that will allow you to upload FLAC files to an iphone? Would this improve the sound quality on the WF-1000XM5, i.e., would it make use of the Sony's ability to stream this higher qaulity over Bluetooth or is it still limited by the iphone output?

Hi, ultimately you're limited by the iPhone's use of AAC.
