Hey there,

I'm going to build a custom laptop. I'm not sure to which laptop build (if any) or parts should i use? I want to build a high performance gaming and work laptop (for running large applications and still work smoothly) I have a budget of $1K max.

There are quite a few posts about people wanting to build laptops from scratch or from a barebones setup, I don't think I have read of any that actually did it once they find out exactly what needs to be done to accomplish what they want. Some have build modded desktops in small forms with a screen attacked, that's not the same thing though as a laptop.
