No sound as in you can't hear the person you are calling? Or they can't hear you? And does this only happen with outbound calls? Or do you not hear inbound ones too? Lastly can you hear any sounds at all on the phone?

If you can hear phone sounds and incoming calls, but not outbound ones, or you can only hear phone sounds but not in call ones, then you should contact your carrier/service provider. The problem may be on their end.
