Typically phones don’t really advance much generation to generation and when there is a big shake up you’re better off waiting to adopt unless your phone breaks or your contract is up for renewal. For example I upgrade every 2-3 years based on when my contract ends, so I went from a 13 pro max to a 15 pro max to a 17 Pro and now I won’t be upgrading until the 2028 model. Unless you absolutely need something for a work reason there’s no point in upgrading gear over year. I also don’t see the reason of getting the 17 Pro phones this year unless you REALLY want the telephoto or you’re an idiot who’s favourite colour is Orange (me). I would expect the 17 would be enough for 99% of people until it loses software support.
