In store burn in from labels or stickers?

I just bought a LG 47LA6600 Japanese model. It was the last in the store, on display near the shop entrance. It has a black line in the top left corner that curves around about 6-8 inches long in the exact shape of the "LG Smart TV" advertising label that was on the TV in the store. Needless to say it's going back, but I'm just wondering if this is a common problem and what exactly has caused it. Cheers

Burn in is not caused by stickers but by having the same image on for a long time.

What you are seeing is either a physical dirty line that can be cleaned off, or the LCD screen or coating were damaged when the sticker was put. It's not "burn in" in the meaning of the term.
