In The Market For a New Laptop

So I have been running fine with my Lenovo v570 but I've had the thing for years and looking to upgrade soon. I don't really do much gaming (periodically if I have time I may jump into a Steam game or something random, but nothing heavy in most cases). I'm mainly going for bang-for-the-buck I suppose as I'm not wanting to break the bank. So far the best option I've found is this:

I just haven't been able to find much information about it in terms of benchmarks. If I do decide to game a little bit I just don't want it to be as low-end as on this current system.

I'm open to suggestions by all means, my only real criteria is 1080p, preferably Intel, dedicated graphics would be nice, and 15.6 inch display. If something doesn't have an SSD in it, I can always upgrade that myself but having one already installed would be cool.

Thanks for any input/information!

The laptop is currently out of stock.

The 940mx is basically a 940m paired up with DDR5 instead of DDR3 RAM. The faster video RAM should allow the GPU to provide better performance. Below is a link to some benchmarks. Despite having better performance than a 940m with DDR3 video RAM, the 940MX is still considered a mainstream GPU.

The 940MX is a huge performance increase from the V570's integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics core even though the 940MX itself is not considered powerful.

I wasn't really wanting to jump up to that price point. I don't really jump into gaming much anymore and I usually don't care if I can run a title at the highest setting possible at max resolution, simply have whatever game that catches my eye be playable. From what I can find with reviews and such, the Aspire line seemed to be the best bang for the buck all around, I've just never owned anything from Acer so I didn't know how they held up in terms of reliability versus other brands.

I got a Acer before, and now I changed to MSI. Since I was using Acer to do my engineering stuff, It wasn't so reliable after half year... Always froze...
So I will say, Asus, Dell, and MSI also have the gaming laptop with not super heavy gaming factors~~ you could definetly find the one you like~

I've looked at the UX305 before and I'm just not a fan of the Core-M CPU's. I think and i5 would be sufficient (I wouldn't mind an i7 but I also don't necessarily need it either) Even if I get the slightly older model Acer 574g I'd be getting out with ~500 (+cost of an SSD). I just can't seem to find much else in that general ballpark that has dedicated graphics...I realize the 940m isn't all that great but it's still better than integrated which is what I have now. *sigh*

Thank you to everyone for the input thus far though, I'm still digging until my paycheck next week to make the decision.

So...for the price point I decided to just go with the Acer. I all my digging I couldn't find anything with a similar setup (8gb DDR4 expandable to 16, 940mx, pre-installed SSD, 6th gen. i5, plus back-lit keyboard and good battery life) Thanks everybody for the input and suggestions, the new computer will be here tomorrow (yay 1 day shipping).
