Increase the speed on an Acer Aspire E 15 Start

Hi,

I have an Acer Aspire E 15 Start. I use if for work ( I work from home) and I simply need it to run me a few webpages and a Softphone at the same time. It became so slow that to open a simple word doc it can take up to 1 minute....

I have asked around and was told that insert some extra RAM into it would help... I don't know what to get and if this will help me to resolve the problem...Any suggestions or ideas?
