Inquiry about what to purchase.

I have recently decided to buy a new laptop within the next few months and I wanted to go the route of a gaming one and have a budget of around $1200-1400 dollars. I am quite new to the gaming laptop scene as I usually do desktops and do not have a clue on what to purchase.

If someone here could give some insight on what I should buy for this sort of thing, the help would b appreciated.
