Inspiron 7559 performance on battery

I have i7 version of 7559. it is working fine. the games totally run fine on the AC supply but when supply isnt connected the games tend to lag a lot.
any solution would be greatly appreciated. Thanks !

Windows and/or perhaps the motherboard's BIOS has been designed to force the CPU and GPU to operate a lower speeds to when using the battery to prolong battery life.

still it shoudnt lag that much due underclocking.
Or should it ?

If you lower the graphic settings, then the lag should go away. I can't say how much the GPU is throttled down when running on battery though.

Any way to increase clock speeds ?

Nope. It is likely locked by the GPU's BIOS which dictates maximum performance depending on the power source (battery / AC) and how hot the GPU is running.

You could also try the power settings in Windows and reset them to be maximum performance while on battery. I am not totally sure on that laptop but it could also switch to the integrated GPU from the processor when on battery and that could be the cause.
