Am buying a new laptop for my sister and was wondering which one should i buy?
both have some cons ,
Ci5:
2nd generation core i5-2410Mm 2.30 GHZ 3mb smart cache
Ram : 3GB DDr3, 1333 Mhz
HD: 500 GB Sata
Display : 15.6" HD WLED display with true life
graphics card : Intel HD graphic 3000
2 USB 3.0, 1 USB 2.0 , eSATA, 1 VGA , HDMI
6 cell litium-Ion
doesnt come with windows

Ci3:
2nd generation core i3-2310M, 2.30 3mb smart chace
comes with windows 7 home basic
4GB ram 1333 Mhz
Nvidia Ge force GT 525M, 1GB

the rest is pretty much the same

So any suggestions? and if there is a better option for the same range of price , please tell me :) thanks alot

one more question , How long does the 6 cell litium-ion battery last?

Solution
nah, i3 will be plenty. I have an old laptop with athlon cpu the thing is a lot slower than i3 and it runs win7 with no problem today

i5 over i3 offers more number crunching power (if you're willing to simplify it like that) and if she isn't going to use that extra power there's no point overpaying for it

6-cell depends on usage (if it's consuming a lot of power it will obviously last less than if it was say in screensaver mode and not doing anything), but generally 1.5-4 hrs.

before any suggestion can be made one way or another you need to answer some questions:

- the fact that the first one is missing OS on it (odd really), does a separate purchase of OS need to be included in your budget?
- what exactly is your budget? things cost differently in different countries
- what will your sister use the laptop for? internet & movies or enginerring/graphics work, maybe video games?

regardless, I'd say Ci3 is probably a better option rather than Ci5. But as far as there being other alternatives, you need to answer questions I asked above

Sorry i've nt been able to connect to the internet in the last few days,
My budget doesnt include an OS
my budget is 4000 EGP (Egyptian Pounds) can go to 4200 if it something necessary
1 USD is 6 EGP

my sister would use her pc for internet & movies and some video games , but what am really looking for is something that can last , heavy duty , and has a long battery (3~4 hours)
thank you

Alright,
I'd say for your needs an i3 CPU with about 4gb ram would be good.

You could look at the following models and see if you like any:
Asus A53
Lenovo G570
HP probook 4430
Sony Vaio EH series
Gateway nv57h46

the dell ci3 you posted above is a good option too. Hope this helps
