Install operating system on a new hard drive

I am trying to install a operating system on a new hard drive but when I get to where do you want to install windows screen it says disk 0 partition 2 and under it disk 0 partition 3 and for free space it says 0.0 with both please help other sites I visited it says a different message on that screen again HELP please

Try clicking drive options, deleting the partitions and formatting the volume.

So I need to format it.........it said failed to format I think it is talking about the disk I'm using not the hard drive

Try this:

When you get to the screen to Install.... You need to go to Advance Options

When you see all your drives and partitons... just DELETE all those extra partitions you see... until everything becomes Free Space. Then CREATE a new partition and then FORMAT... Now Windows should install OK.

It keeps saying windows cannot be installed to this disk the selected disk is of the GPT partition style......when I start my computer without the operating system disk it says no bootable device
