Hi guys!!

I was considering purchasing a new laptop..I am a casual gamer...I had came across HP Dv6 series and i liked the laptop but i am being offered two processor choices.
1)AMD Turion X2 RM-74(2.2 GHz,1MB L2)
2)Intel Core2 Duo P8600(2.4 GHz,3MB L2)

But i will have to shed about $500 more for the intel one..I want to ask you that is this processor deserving $500 more or should i stick with the AMD??
Also does more cache affects seriously in general computing and gaming???
Plz help me out !!

THanKs in ADVnace!!!

I'm a big AMD fan so I myself would go with the AMD. if you're only a casual gamer shelling out the extra 500 doesn't seem worth it imho. If you were a very very hardcore gamer it might be worth it for the extra speed and cache but it really depends on what games you are playing. Both CPU's will be excellent though as most games are GPU limited nowadays

I mainly require it for casual gaming with titles like GTA4,Left4 Dead,Prototype etc. and some college work..

Then go for P8600,its worth it especially in GTA4/Prototype which benefit from a good CPU
