Intel Dual Core (3rd Generation) vs Intel Pentium Dual Core which one is better?

I am in need of a PC and would like to know which of the above mentioned is good in terms of performance?

if your looking for a new low cost build the new unlocked g3258 that 70.00 is not a bad buy as it an unlocked cpu.
the newer i3 have hyper threading so there a little faster in games and programs that support it.

If you are talking i3-xxx vs Gxxxx, the i3 will be a better performer. Otherwise, please list the exact cards you are considering.
