intel hd graphics reinstall problem

help i wanted to reinstall my laptops graphics driver and when i tried this happened any ideas https://imgur.com/a/n1ZYy p.s this is windows 8.1
edit: upon further inspection it seems this happens with any driver i try to install or update

Did you try to reinstall it with a setup file from intel's website or in device manager?

Just delete (uninstall) that entry in device manager and restart the PC. If you have an internet connection, it will find and install the driver by itself.

i downloaded the correct drivers from intel which was intel hd graphics which matches my intel celron b830 cpu and this is that happens https://imgur.com/a/zm49l

You can try to go back to a previous restore point and try again from there. Might also consider running some malware scans, or maybe from a cmd prompt, run sfc \scannow to look for system file issues.
