Internet slow when not plugged in

Hello,

I have an Asus G750JW. Why is it that when I do not have my laptop plugged in, my Internet is slow, but when I have it plugged in with no battery or with battery, my connection is great?

Possibly the adapter is set to a lower power state to extend batter life. You can find a setting for it in your power options advanced settings menu.
