ipad linked to itunes account

ok so i bought a second hand ipad but its telling me its linked to the previouse owners account is there anyway to bypass this as i cant get in contact with the seller. iv looked on utube but when iv tried to download the bypass programs all i get is virus warning any help would be excellent i bought it for my little boy and hes not happy with it not working cheers in advance
