Question iPhone 7+ question: unscrambling all my pictures

I have an OLD iPhone 7+ with the latest available operating system, iOS 15.8.3
My question: I have over 3,000 pictures on my phone, and the order they appear
got scrambled up. How do I rearrange the pics in my Library so they appear in
chronological order?
Currently, when I open my pictures app, my pictures appear in jumbled order,
so some old ones appear first without scrolling, and some of my recently taken
pictures appear way up at the top after a ton of scrolling.
Isn't there some easy way to get them to appear in the original order that
I took them in?
Help!

If you want to fix a scrambled photo order on your iPhone, ensure the sort setting is set to Oldest to Newest or Newest to Oldest. Restart your phone or toggle iCloud Photos off and on to re-sync. Using the Years, Months, or Days views can also help.
