Question iPhone 7+ question: unscrambling all my pictures

I have an OLD iPhone 7+ with the latest available operating system, iOS 15.8.3
My question: I have over 3,000 pictures on my phone, and the order they appear
got scrambled up. How do I rearrange the pics in my Library so they appear in
chronological order?
Currently, when I open my pictures app, my pictures appear in jumbled order,
so some old ones appear first without scrolling, and some of my recently taken
pictures appear way up at the top after a ton of scrolling.
Isn't there some easy way to get them to appear in the original order that
I took them in?

Scarletioshub, I got your reply but for some reason it's not showing now. Luckily, I got a screenshot of your answer. It worked! Apparently, any of the native iPhone picture folders cannot be made to sort photos by date - but folders that I made myself will allow date-sorting!
