Touch ID is great. FaceID promises something more. None of you have tried it. Yet, you're all dismissing it. That's lazy journalism. And I've been in journalism for 35 years.

Touch ID is great. FaceID promises something more. None of you have tried it. Yet, you're all dismissing it. That's lazy journalism. And I've been in journalism for 35 years.

You say something more, but I'd argue that it's both similar and different. While it claims to offer convenience, and yes it probably will, there's a lot about turning your face into a password that people find unsettling. I'm personally hoping Apple finds a way to get the toothpaste back into the tube by figuring out how to get Touch ID under the screen.
