I am infatuated with my nook color. I have it running a nootered version of 2.1, and have it running at 1.1gHz. It puts out Quandrant scores of 1250 all day long baby!

i have a 3g, at first i was only going wifi, but the salesman explained there is no monthly fee for 3g,
I like mine and use if for a lot of book reading, and the extra 50.00 to purchase was not to bad. I think they are just going to support the color, i almost they had some kind of trade-up program

I agree that I wish there was a trade up program. I have a 3g model as well, and LOVE it. Best investment I've made in quite awhile.

It would only make sense to eliminate the B/W version of this 3G device since it hasn't sold in large numbers to begin with. Wifi and Hotspots are becoming the norm for most people and it is cheaper.

Who needs 3G on their nook or Ipad? I guess if your a heavy traveler maybe, Wifi and Hot spots are getting to be so popular now that it seems like a waist haveing to spend an extra $ 75.00 to $ 100.00 for a feature you may never use.
