Is it a bad idea to have kodi on my phone

I have kodi on my andriod phone is it a waste of time getting a antivirus app

It depends if your phone is rooted, if yes i would keep it but if your device is stock i wouldnt bother keeping an antivirus app.

Why would it be bad to have kodi on an android phone. I see no issues there. I use kodi on a daily basis.

Anti-virus apps rarely help on Android devices. It doesn't hurt to have, sure, but the usefulness of it is questionable. Especially if your device has lower specs. In the end, malware on Android is usually sophisticated enough to ignore a majority of antivirus solutions as you are manually granting permissions when installing applications.
