Is it expensive to have the cable jack replaced?

The parts are cheap. Take the plate off the wall. Cut the coax cable near the broken connector. Take the broken pieces to a hardware store and they'll show you what to buy and how to attach the new connector to the coax cable.
 
You didn't say WHERE exactly is this jack.

If over wall, what ^he says. I dunno what a house call will charge u, the AV guy probably thinks the job is too small not worth his time.

If over your TV, oy. That one I dunno what to tell you. Go into your local Best Buys and ask the GeekSquad.
 
if the cable goes into the wall. check to see if it connects to a spliter in the wall.

if it does just buy a new cable that goes from the splitter to a new outlet. then screw the new face plate back in place where the broken one was. if the cable plug is the main cable feed that broke a local av installer or electritan with a crip tool can make a new connector for you.
