Is it okay to play a game on my laptop till it gets down to 10% then plug it in till it's fully charged, stop playing for 15 minutes, then repeat? Will that degrade battery life, or make it too hot? Sorry this on the wrong part first question and got confused, lol.

Of course it is okay but it will decrease battery life. Best thing to do is if you're stationary then take the battery out and run it directly from the wall plug.
