I have just dug out an old Aiwa surround sound system (SXR210 / SXC300) and was wondering IF I can connect them to my Samsung PS43D450 TV at all?? If there is, what do I need?

There is a vast number of adapters in terms of audio equipment, and I am sure there is some way to get this to work. As far as how to do it, do you have a receiver unit for these speakers?

TV most likely has an optical audio output. If the Aiwa has an optical input then a Toslink optical cable is all you need. If the Aiwa only has analog inputs you will need an optical to analog converter like this one.

That is from the sound system ? The best quality is with optical, hdmi or coaxial cable.

Yes, it is possible but you will have to buy a home theater receiver.

You failed to post picture on the other piece of equipment in question, the Aiwa.

That's what we are trying to establish right, how to hookup A to B, well let see what B looks like.

I was in the same position last year and since my 5 speaker system Panasonic didn't have optical in so that i can connect it with my computer i bought a cheap Sony receiver with optical and DTS support. Still needed to buy a subwoofer also so that can become 5.1 system. But these maybe 200$ that i invested are worth it. Now it's perfect and i use my old 5 speakers. I think you want to do the same
