Is it worth it?

It is worth buying a £200ish headset for gaming such as a A40 or A50. Or is it better to get a £60 one. From the headset I want to get good sound quality and mic quality with no background noise etc.

Thanks

I cannot verify that. I am using a $40 pair of headphones which sound great and i have had no "background noise" yet. I do not think that sacrificing sound quality for something that happened with one pair of headphones is not worth it as other headphones may not have the same problem. I suggest you talk to someone from turtlebeach first about the problem and see if you can get them replaced, if not, then i suggest you get something like the corsair vengeance 1400 / 1500 v2 / 2100.

I suggest you get a separate headphones and a mic for better quality of both.
If you want a good all-in-one i suggest the corsair vengeance 1400 / 1500 v2 / 2100.
If your motherboard is fairly new (less than 3 years or of very high quality / very expensive) i suggest you get the 1400s as they use analog sound while the 1500s and 2100s use a separate sound card built into the USB connector which will most likely give you a worse experience (in terms of sound quality).

Of course there are other higher-end options, but the corsair vengeance 1400s are the best in the under 100 pound price range, coming in at about 60 - 65 pounds.

My motherboard is pretty much new, and I currently have the turtlebeach Z6A but they have started to make background noise and the mic keeps fading when I speak. Also I was reading somewhere that the external sound card was better because they did not create as much background noise as analog headsets , is this true?
