I was going to order a Dell Inspiron 5000 that came with a 512GB M.2 drive. I was going to put in a 2TB M.2 drive, but in the storage specifications, it says "M.2 2230/2280 solid-state drive PCIe Gen3 x4 NVMe Up to 1 TB "
The Dell chat rep says this is limited by the motherboard, but I didn't think that was a thing in 2020. Does it really mean that you just can't order a 2TB from them? Or can it really not support a 2TB M.2 drive?
