Is the GeForce GT 740M good for gaming in games such as Battlefield 3, Skyrim, Minecraft. Thanks.

It can get by on low/medium settings with decent fps, but isn't really much of a gaming gpu, unfortunately.

I got one I'm my vaio, and I can run saints row the third on ultra settings, I got Intel I5 and 8gb ram

Long term, a GTX family of gpu would fare much better.
