Is there a lock on the keyboard?

Is there a lock on the keyboard somewhere? Everything was fine until I installed windows 10. I'm now trying to get back to Windows 8.

Yeah, it's possible it's locked.

Try pressing Control + Alt + L.
Try typing: unlock
There could be an icon at the bottom right with a keyboard, check that.
Also try plugging keyboard into different USB port.
