Is there a way to make the desktop always open first when you turn on you computer instead of the start app page?

This is because I hate windows 8 because it is different from desktop. For example if you open internet explore on the app thing it is slower and It is harder to use and you could open it separately in the desktop and it would be traditional and easy to use. And do you no how to make legit program like stream or word.

Update to Windows 8.1. It is free and allows you to change the default on bootup to the desktop.

yeah 8.1 is your only choice as its not possible for 8.

or swap over to windows 7.....haha
