Is there a way to turn off the cooling pad while in sleep mode?

Hi,
this is my second thread for today!
I would like to know if there is a way to turn off the USB-powered cooling pad for my Lenovo Y-700 laptop,while it is in sleeping mode?
The OS is Win 10.

I would think that if it is powered by the laptop's USB port, it would be turned off when the laptop is asleep.
Make and model of the cooling pad?

I was wrong. USB ports stay active while in sleep mode on a laptop.
Try using Hibernate instead. It may take a little longer to come out of Hibernate Mode than it does for Sleep Mode but the USB ports will be shut down.
