Is there something like "Standard TV size" ?

19" 4:3 1280x1024
24" 16:10 1920x1200
24" 16:9 1920x1080
27" 16:9 2560x1440

Now obviously monitors come out that are different sizes and res but these were the "standard".

Also, the OP said TV, not monitor. @tiz___yab, can you clarify as to whether you're talking about a TV (that you'll be presumably be sitting at least a meter or two from), or a computer monitor (typically sitting a foot or two from)?

Yes, I was talking about TVs, but gasaraki's response helped for clarify of question. so, i wonder if there are such standards for TVs?

I don't think there's a single optimal size. More like an optimal range of sizes for a given resolution and viewing distance. Too large a screen, it starts to look pixelated. Too small a screen, you're paying extra for a higher resolution that you aren't taking advantage of (and occasionally things on screen can end up too small).
